The winding road that I called “Life”

I was up and ready for my dental appointment by 8am and was there waiting by 9:30am. The dentist yet arrived, but greeted by a polite malay receptionist. Besides my parents, I was the only client there for that early morning. Despite the comfort of the office gives; air-conditioned, dimmed soothing lamps and music played by MTV, I was checking my watch every 15minutes for the dentist’s arrival. Around 10am, I was given some colorful pills (to put under sedation me I guess?), and I was accompany to the surgery room. I remembered it wasn’t long I heard my dentist’s voice and he was straight down to business. I was drowsy but yet conscious a little, remembering there was a tinkling feeling in my gums several times, I presumed that my gums were injected by anesthetic. I remember someone (I think it’s the nurse), holding my jaw while there maybe an extraction going on then. It mustn’t be a difficult surgery to perform because I was out of that place by 11am.

The dentist told me earlier that majority people in the world’s population would have wisdom teeth problems and it’s a genetic issue. Looking back, I guess I wouldn’t have escape from such experience, as my dad, my brother and my sister had these wisdom extraction before and theirs were worse than mine.

Yes, I survived from two wisdom teeth extraction, cost me no more than RM1k, but the tremendous discomfort through the first night and a very puffed up left cheek on my second day. I’m on a liquid diet which is really a torturous thing to be for me. I would still have to meet up my dentist next week for stitches to be removed. For now, I’m given 3 days off MC but not much sympathy from my 2 nieces which stays with me on weekdays, as I keep being compared to my pet hamster now. L
